Será incluido un nuevo modo de juego, hasta ahora llamado "Expert plus"(Expert +) el cual permitira usar los dos pedales de la batería. Esto solo se podra usar en este modo de dificultad amenos de que se use el codigo (cheat) incluido para jugarlo en otras canciones.

La hisoria del juego sera la de una banda que planea seguir los pasos de metallica, siendo acpetados por los miembros de esta para ser los "teloneros" en su tour.
